I recently used Lakeside florist to send some balloons to my sister when she was sick. I ordered 3 latex balloons and 3 Mylar balloons along with a teddy bear. I paid $43.45 for them to be delivered to her. I thought it was a little steep but I wanted to her have these to make her feel better. I sent them on Friday morning and by the time I went to see her about 12 hours later all of the balloons were deflated. I was extremely upset especially since I paid so much money for them. I’m an event planner and I work with balloons all the time and I understand that they don’t stay forever but these looked like they had been delivered days ago rather than hours. When I called to tell them how upset I was, the lady I spoke with said they only guarantee their latex balloons for a couple of hours. First of all if that’s true I should have been told that over the phone when I placed the order, and second they shouldn’t have charged me so much for the balloons. She asked me what they could do to make it better, and then wouldn’t work with me when I wanted half of my money back. I am not the type that usually asks for money back but these were horrible and such a waste of money I was embarrassed when I saw them and was apologizing to my sister for the horrible gift. She told me they would call me back when they figured out what they could do for me, and that was 4 days ago, there has been no follow up call. Never use Lakeside florist, they do a crappy job, and don’t care about their customers, and have horrible customer service.
